Location: Playa Carate, Península de Osa
La Leona is an ecolodge on the mountain in front of the sea, bordering Corcovado National Park in the far west. Accommodation is in tents on wooden platforms and consists of 21 tents. The capacity at the Lodge is for 50 people and restaurant service is offered. La Leona Eco Lodge is the preferred destination for lovers of adventure, natural beauty and the biological richness of southern Costa Rica.
- How to get there: By car from Dominical travel to Palmar Norte. Follow the road that leads to the border and you will arrive at a Gas Station “Corcovado”. At this station turn right and follow this road for approximately 75 kilometers to Puerto Jimenez. The first part of the trip is from Puerto Jimenez to Carate where the road ends and you should reach the airport. From Carate to La Leona Eco Lodge is about a 45 minute walk on the beach.
